Just throwing this out there so I don’t lose the thought, but I’m wondering what a Squash Match move would look like.

  1. Could be a good custom move to differentiate monsters who really use squashes to built them up from simply “this isn’t narratively important” squash matches.

Off the top of my head, it’s all about quickly building Audience, and not so much about feuds.

Something like “when you squash a hapless jabroni, roll +Power (or maybe +Look?) instead of rolling for your Finishing Move. On a 10+, pick 2, on a 7-9, pick 1: gain +1 Audience, you demand (and receive) a more worthy competitor, gain +2 Momentum. On a Botch, you both get over – gain +1 Heat with each other and the jobber is now part of the roster, if they weren’t already!

We call the Botch result on this the “James Ellsworth” result.
