This might be a little goofy, but what are the odds of a ‘complete edition’ somewhere down the road with all 16 Archetypes between the same two covers? The asymmetry between Archetypes bothers me more than I care to admit.

  1. I thought Wild was Fae, Tainted, Dragon, and Vessel, unless they have 5 Archetypes and everyone else has four?

I’m not a backer so I don’t have access to everything, but I assumed it was Mortality (Aware, Hunter, Veteran, Scholar), Night (Vamp, Wolf, Specter, Revenant), Power (Wizard, Oracle, Immortal, Hallowed), and Wild (Fae, Tainted, Dragon, Vessel), with Angel as the odd man out.

  2. Says “a member of Wild” on the old limited edition playbook, at least. Sometimes I find it easier to think of Wild as “Outside” – things alien to our world, from beyond our reality – especially since some players get confused about werewolves not being “wild” animals.

  3. Oh, no, I don’t think the designers were particularly concerned with Archetype counts by Faction. If I remember right, the original backer-only set didn’t include the Revenant or Hallowed, so Wild had five and Power and Night only had three. I think it’s more a matter of just considering the theme of the Archetype and where it fits best. And yeah, I always try to explain it as, “The Night Archetypes were once human, but became something… else. Whereas the Wild Archetypes are creatures from beyond our experience.” Admittedly that kind of makes the Tainted seem like it should be Night, but it feels like Wild.
