  1. This is a similar question to the one about using Masks in other settings.

As long as you’re looking to use the central themes of the game (discovering your identity, evolving your self-image), using previous generations should work just fine.

  2. The Legacy playbook might suffer in such a game, as it’s the playbook that most relies on an established history of superheroes.

The protege, on the other hand, might benefit, as the “kid sidekick” archetype has been around a long time. In fact, it’s probably the earliest type of teenage super-hero to emerge, preceding the other playbooks by quite some time.

  3. I’m actually planning on running this as a pregen mini arc with some of my current players and maybe a couple others and have it set about thirteen years before my current lot. I think as long as you don’t go too far back it can work, after all, look when the Teen Titans started off and all the different versions of that group.

  4. I could see doing it as a mini-arc, especially if it then rolls into one of the arcs for the later group. I’ve been in games where we’ve done that; the GM had us play heroes during WWII and then merged the plot threads inot our modern campaign.
