I just managed to get the book but I cannot seem to locate the playbooks. The ToC says page 93 but those look more like overviews than the playbooks I am used to seeing with this system.

You can download em from the Magpie website
Jason Corley ah, thanks a lot.
Good luck with your campaign!
Magpie chose to not include them in the book. The only way you can play is if you download the playbooks from their website. I beg you Magpie (and every other PbTA publisher) please don’t do that again.
It did seem odd that the game wasn’t completely self-contained. However, that decision shaved 20 pages from the book which is pretty significant.
Given alternatives, I’d far rather have the PDF available to all to download instead of trying to photocopy pages from the book or being forced to also buy the PDF of the book.
I do think there might have been a condensed few pages for the GM to refer to, but yeah. It’s not useful to players to have them in there.
I don’t think dropping the page count justifies not having the playbooks in the book. It would have been better to condense other parts of the text or raise the price a few dollars.
I ended up having to print the playbooks into a separate book for me and my friends (all of which were non-plussed by Magpie’s decision).
I too ask that we don’t see a repeat of this concept.
