   Also, fun bit of trivia, the Beast Asset used to be an Explorer skill. Only Explorer careers could get Beasts. That got cut during the UW development, but I brought the Asset back for FBH

5. So … Pikachu, a Class 2 Beast Asset. Gets electricity (Shock) as its free Melee Weapon upgrade for Class 0 Natural Weaponry. Takes Attuned to Electricity as one of its upgrades, and then either Cute (a variant of Beauty) or Summoned (“I choose you, Pikachu!”) as its second.

11. Nice and simple, and pretty effective to boot. Tiny Flying gives him a lot of opportunities to get past danger.

12. As a variant, the fire lizards from Pern would substitute Bond for Deadly.

13. This, of course, is a sign of a good rule system: it can recreate the fictional models that inspired it.

14. K-9 should probably be statted up as a PC.

15. There is a certain amount of blur between intelligent pets and characters.

16. Yes, Scooby Doo is a character, not a beast asset. 🙂
