Hey guys! First time MCing US in a couple of weeks and I am stoked! I have a question about the Spectre. How does a spectre portray itself in the world? As I understand it a spectre has to manifest to be able to interact with the world. How do you guys play your spectres?

The Spectre in my game still had to move in the physical world (he’d physically and auditorally manifest and ride the bus).
When not manifest he would phase through everything, but supernatural folk could still sense or see him.
Ok… But can other supernatural players hurt the spectre with firearms and knives even if he hasnt manifested? And can he hurt others while in his spectreform?

My Spectre was traversing space at a speed lower than good car, so I had to commander a vehicle when I was in rush.
As soon as I became a Spectre we added few extra ghost NPCs, to have some more ghosts in town.
If I wanted to talk or interact I had to manifest. Important NPCs ware also able to sense me while not manifested. Super powerful NPCs might be able to destroy Spectre even when not manifested, but as the book says you should warn player beforehand about such powerful creature should he encounter it.
Some places will also be warded and hard to access even for Spectre, like Wizard Sanctums for example.
Firearms and knives are able to harm Spectre when he manifest to touch physical world. Veteran should be able to create something to harm Spectre even when he is not touching physical world but such items should be scarce.
Weapon with Blessed trait might be able to do something to Spectre when he is not manifested to touch physical world, but it is up to your table to decide it’s effects.
Spectre in fights … it is up to your table to decide how to play it. I was usually going hardcore for Corruption moves, smashing enemies with cars by telekinesis, draining their life or mind controlling weaker enemies to attack others -> it is a lot of fun 🙂
In a straight up fight by rolling Unleash Spectre will be at a disadvantage because he has no armor and it hurts compared to playing a tank like Wolf or Tainted who have like 2-armor and disregard everything below an assault rifles and swords.
Spectre could be able to attack others by using his spectral powers via Let it Out and risking corruption if for your table it is ok and particular enemy is vulnerable to such approach.

Heh my Spectre died in the 90s so he had a pager on him. He had to manifest and use payphones 🙂
