Hi guys!
I’m preparing for my first US session, and I’m well prepared. One thing bugs me though, and that’s the two Spectre Moves Manifest and Wall? What Wall?, as I think they contradict each other.
If the Spectre is not manifested, and thus intangible to the normal physical realm, why does he need an opening to Escape (as per the Wall? What Wall? move)? Couldn’t he just leave? Nothing can keep him in anyway.
Please share your ideas, thoughts and experience with these two Moves.
The Spectre doesn’t need to Escape if not Manifest. But if they are Manifest, changing their Manifestation takes time. If they’ve Manifested touch in order to deal with a thing, and it goes south, they’re not going to be able to get away easily.
Plain and simple! I love it! Thank you Aaron Griffin!
Specters are not safe when not manifested. Some powerful enemies might sense them or see them outright, in that case Specter might need to Escape even when not manifested.
Another example might be that Spectre might find himself trapped by ward or magic in which case he cannot simply walk away but might need an opening for escape.
Also please note that Wall, what wall allows you to take an extra person with you if you select extra option.
