Just to say that I’ve really enjoyed reading The Veil on my short break away from reality (how fitting). I’m due to run the game at revelationgames.org.uk in February as a short one shot. I think I’m going epic, with a narrow theme that emerges and builds in a primed setting.

I’m not sure I can fully do the game advice the justice it deserves, but a mind bending session beckons.

I’ll write up when I can get to a keyboard. I’ll pop back for advice as needed.

    The Veil

    Up to Five players

    Slot 3

Your home, the old colony world of Yvari, has been isolated from the Void Matrix, and thus all of interstellar culture, for three old terran generations. This cataclysm was due to an unfortunate and natural realignment of the Matrix cosmography. However, though isolated, The Consortium has now risen to complete power, and through hard work and tireless sacrifice, the central five Corporations, the PentaCorp, are remaking the world into a marvel. The Veil overlays, enhances and effectively supersedes tired, mundane, reality. Connected through neurochips, the populace are able to participate in a new world of improved reality, a digiscape of wonders, constructed for the betterment of all.

Well, so the piped newscasts would have you believe.

However, you have been able to pierce ‘The Veil’, the shroud that hides old notions of existence, and the world is not as it is portrayed. Something is wrong, you know it, you feel it. You have seen it. The world needs to change and you are the agents of that change.

It all starts with a simple recovery. Where it leads could change your world…
