The JANUS move: I’ll Save You allows you to “…defend a loved one as if you rolled a 12+”; I’ve not seen any reference in the book to what a 12+ result would be for any Move, am I missing something?

Rolling a 12+ would mean a full success regardless of any conditions or influence being burned upon the character, while i think a normal 10 would still make it susceptible to those. At least thats how ive always looked at it
The 12+ is probably there to explain that it even is a full success if something inflicts a -2 on you via defend/condition/…
Selganor Yoster, that was my take too. It’s a 12+ to guarantee a success even if affected by a condition.
