So, one of the Spanish words I’ve seen English speakers struggling with is “Despachadero”. So, even when that’s the name/term Edgar Clement uses in his universe, I’ve decided to change it for the English edition of the game. I still want to use a Spanish word, though. So I’m going for “Changarro”… my only question would be, is that easier? I hope so.

I think it’s fine, but I also think people will mostly learn whatever they interact with frequently. So the phrase “psychic maelstrom” was pretty weird when I first read it in Apocalypse World, and I now I drop it into casual conversation all the time.
If there is any population of people who will learn (and use) strange and foreign words… it’s RPG fans. Just make sure you include a glossary!
Mark Diaz Truman I get that… I just don’t want Nahual beign all about “how do you pronounce this, or that”.. besides Despachadero is already a seldom used word in Spanish, I think is actually invented. Changarro is really common.
And besides, I’m planning on keeping Despachadero for the Spanish edition.
