Missing out on the Kickstarter I read about Los Cazados.

Missing out on the Kickstarter I read about Los Cazados. What happened to that? And will there be any more products for Urban Shadows? Any info would be great since I love US and want more official playbooks.

  1. Now that Dark Streets is done, we are working on Los Cazados! Expect to hear more about it soon.

We will have two more playbooks released through the Kickstarter. After that, we are looking at developing more Urban Shadows materials down the road.

What kind of things do you want to see besides playbooks?

  2. Mmm a few pre-made threats and storms to get the creative juice flowing. I Wild faction city in another dimension: hell, or the faerie court or something else would be cool. Nothing specific since this is a “play to find out” game of course but a few guidelines on how to make it work.

  3. Mark Diaz Truman Actually, an odd request: I would love if there was expanded stuff on historical setting hacks, ideally a complete one with different Moves and altered playbooks. Take the material from Dark Streets and build it out to a fuller example.

  4. I would like to see examples of creatures, people, outsiders, etc. That are not part of the playbooks. For some reason that is what I am having more troubles with to come up during play. Almost all my npcs end up being some iteration of something available on a playbook, also when players introduce npcs themselves also tend to think in playbook terms.

  5. KaribuI – Do you mean that it’s helpful to have NPCs and other antagonists that don’t map directly on to playbooks (like Vamps, Wolves, etc)?

Lex Permann – That’s a pretty big project. Do you have a particular era that you’d like to see us work on?

  6. Mark Diaz Truman Thank you for answering so fast. I am happy with more playbooks or ways to expand the existing ones. Then a book like Dark Streets but instead of different cities we could enjoy 5 alternative settings like Maxime Lacoste asked for above. Outsiders. Love them.

  7. Mark Diaz Truman I think a Victorian setting would be immensely popular for a lot of reasons, but I’m personally interested in seeing how far back in time you can take the game and still have it work; a Roman hack would be a treat.

Also, slightly off-topic; with everything else nearly done, do we have any kind of rough timeline on The Angel? My group loves urban fantasy that leans hard into the faux-Abrahamic stuff, and while the Tainted and Hallowed are most of the puzzle, the Angel’s absence feels like a missing tooth.

  8. @Lex – The Angel is going to be a bit. Since it’s not something we promised for the Kickstarter, we’re going to get everything else done (Immortal/Dragon) out to backers first and then out for regular release.
