AGES ago, I read an article posted by someone who used to do Pro Wrestling stuff, but he couldn’t do it anymore, and extolled the virtues of WWWRPG as a really good way for him to recapture the magic of wrestling even if he was unable to do it for real. Does anyone else remember this? I can’t find it anywhere.

  1. Damn, I remember someone linking to that as well, but I don’t think I ever actually read the article. I figure Nathan Paoletta will have that link if anyone does.

  2. I’m not sure if I’ve seen an article (I’d love to!) but a few years ago I received an email along these lines, and the screenshot I shared on twitter was probably my most RTed tweet ever. Here’s that:

“My name is William “Outcast” Staffey. I am a retired professional wrestler, I wrestled in the indy circuit for 10 years and I must say this game is nothing short of brilliant. This is by far the best wrestling game on the market today and is the closes anybody can get to being an actual wrestler without being an actual wrestler. The flow of the game is pure genius. Not only am I retired I am also disabled and walk with a cane so I can no longer wrestle, however your game let’s me live my dream again, and for that I thank you. Keep up the great work Mr. Paoletta.”

Still the high point of this whole thing for me!
