So now that the pdf has been out a week, what sort of apocalypses have people been throwing together?

  1. A grand project of the World Before built a gate between worlds. Unfortunately, aliens gained a foothold and staged an invasion before the gate was shut down. The resulting titanic war and certain other effects not yet discovered by the players were the Fall.

But hey, we’re only playing Mirrors so there’s a limit to how weird it was gonna get.

  2. Right now we are playing in a something that can be Earth, after a chaotic and multilateral World War. Bio-engineered predators and weaponized weather make things difficult, and there are still pockets of resistance everywhere.

Cultivators, Tyrants (me!!) and the Hive.

Starting with The Scout (in its first playtest), Firebrand (me again!!), and a Promethean.

It was supposed to be ruins, but then things happened 🙂

  3. I usually have to wait for the hard copy before I do my final read & then add it to the queue of games I absolutely want to run soon (if it’s a game like Legacy).

That said, I want to pitch a game where rising oceans are a part of the equation and encourage one of the players to pick the Pioneers of the Depths. What we end up will be whatever the players end up most excited about. I’ll probably leave some of the weirder and more particular setting-defining families out of the mix available for the first campaign. The Order of the Titan is among the most attractive to me. Sea + Kaiju?

  4. Trey Palmer it’s usually their favorite part!!

Matthew Gagan my pleasure it is usually coming to the first session without the SLIGHTEST idea of what kind of mood and scenario we will build together =D
