I think it shows a great way of making powers that are not very rewarding for everyone else at the table. A good power story wise is determined by its cost and limits. Having a decent haircut whenever? Fine. Also strangle people with your hair totally. Turning into a robot? Cool. What does it do to you, being all machine? What remains, when you turn back?
I was thinking more about the “sulk outside your estranged father’s house” part.
Relevant to the original post: our Transformed shapeshifted into a badass super-moped last night on which our Protege staged a high speed escape from the cops.
Nice! Our Outsider (AI in a shifting robot body) sorta fused with a motorcycle in our first session, and my Bull tagged along for the ride by just holding on to the back like a skateboarder grabbing a boost.
Except since I had no skateboard, I diminished the friction by setting my feet on fire.
That’s excellent. Also, hilariously, our Transformed is a human whose entire body has been turned into shapeshifting nanites!
