So, I’ve been running a game using the UPG promotion from the core rule book. So far my group has really enjoyed it.

One of the things I’ve wanted to do in the game is run a Torneo Cibernetico, which is essentially a 8 (or more) man elimination tag match, so I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I would accomplish this. Of course, the tag team rules include pins that result from refusing tags, but I don’t feel that would move the match along quickly enough. I could also adapt some of the moves from the Regal Wrangle to facilitate eliminations.

My question is, what do you guys think is the best way of handling a match such as a Survivor Series or Torneo Cibernetico in WWW? Any suggestions or stories of actual play experience would be a big help!

  1. Oh, the Straight Match rule? I think that would work pretty well. I had completely forgotten about it, thanks for reminding me. I’ll try it out and let you all know how it goes.

  2. I ran a 4 on 4 tag team elimination match just using the basic tag rules and it worked pretty well. I also used lucha rules, so sliding to the outside counted as a tag.

All the players bought in, and the main thing is when I GMed it, I stopped willingly passing over narrative control, and would do an elaborate 3 count and it encouraged other players to spend momentum to break the pinfall.
