Hi fellow US’!
I just stumbles over a small passage on the Scholar Playbook from the Dark Streets supplemental, that bugged me a little.
The final Corruption Move states, that the Scholar can:
Retire your character. They may return as a Threat.
Who are they? I guess it’s the Network, but I’m not quite sure. Any ideas?
“They” means your character. Your character retires and becomes a threat.
So for the Scholar, it’s actually a choice to be made Barry O’Leary? Cool.
Isn’t that for everyone?
Lex Permann Yep, every playbook (if I remember correctly) has this option
It means that player no longer plays the character. The character is now an MC threat.
As to what it means, corruption has to be defined by a play group, it might mean that character became so focused on acquiring an item that will shatter the world that he must be stopped by other characters or forces in the game.
Lex Permann Hallowed and Vessel are the only exceptions. Hallowed gang becomes a threat while he himself becomes a mortality playbook, while Vessel redemption is complete.
