I’ve got a simple, really dumb rules question: With respect to quick characters, you’re told to choose two moves; one from the family inheritance list, and one from a list that is chunked out by role. The wording and formatting makes it slightly ambiguous to me, though, if one is choosing one role and getting two moves, or selecting a role and choosing one move from its accompanying list.

Which is it?

  1. When you pick a role, it gives you an active move and one you trigger when you die – so you end up with an inheritance move, a role move, and a role death move. Does that make sense?

  2. James Iles I somehow managed to entirely miss that the second move listed for each role was a death move. Your explanation brings it into perfect clarity. Thanks! 🙂
