Hi friends. How’s your Apocalypse going?

Hi friends. How’s your Apocalypse going?

Hi friends. How’s your Apocalypse going?

What are you doing to help those struggling and find a way to do more than just survive in this dystopian hellscape?

How are you working to expand your support networks?

How’s your supply line?

Comm lines?

Energy?

Where’s your water & how do you keep it safe?

What do you do about routine medical needs?

How are you set for dangerous/toxic weather systems?

How are you combating the world’s psychic maelstrom?

Do folks in your hardhold have bread?

Do folks in your hardhold have roses?

If not, why not, and where do you need to act to change that?

  1. How’s your Apocalypse going?

Well, everyone is in one place. There threat map is busy and a lot of countdown clocks are getting pretty high. But on the upside, people are starting to find their comfort.

What are you doing to help those struggling and find a way to do more than just survive in this dystopian hellscape?

We’ve got someone trying to bring a bit of respite in the form of vice to the survivors. Someone else trying to produce things that will heal minds. And someone who would brings escape, typically at muzzle velocity.

How are you working to expand your support networks?

Not the strong point of anyone but the Matro’D

    How’s your supply line?

There’s at least a plan here. Maybe get the Fliers to visit. Set up some trade with Station maybe, if Station can get over that whole assassination thing.

    Comm lines?

Rolfball is doing the messenger thing. And no one trusts him at all.

    Energy?

They’re not at that part yet.

Where’s your water & how do you keep it safe?

They’re lucky that it’s internally sourced. There’s security, although that’s seen both beefing up and a command struggle lately.

What do you do about routine medical needs?

Gypsy sees to what they can. Still, there’s been a few fresh graves dug lately.

How are you set for dangerous/toxic weather systems?

Few too many open/broken windows to be really prepared, but the real danger is always in The Old World.

How are you combating the world’s psychic maelstrom?

Avoidance, mostly. But that leaves them in the dark about what may be lurking.

Do folks in your hardhold have bread?

Bread specifically, nope. They do pretty good in trade, though.

Do folks in your hardhold have roses?

Spector has quite a bit growing to see to needs, but romance just isn’t her thing.

If not, why not, and where do you need to act to change that?

There’s a lot to be gained from the softer approach. Nero sees that, although Spector is oblivious. Mill’s shown some interest, but Mill messes around with everyone. Grome seems to have turned her head. He’s big and quiet, and that seems to be her type. He’s married though.

Aliza’s basically not had a heart since Frog died. Maybe she’ll come back from that. Maybe not. It’s up to her.

  2. This list of questions also appropriate for non-fictional dystopian hellscapes, and a good reminder to tend closely to members of your community, especially those who are suffering from exposure to the psychic maelstrom.

  3. William Nichols friend, if only. My laws would be epic and simple: Show compassion but be watchful, make music together, listen to the land, hold the long vision and the big picture along with the wonder in a single petal, know your limits and respect your own and others, give thanks for simple things.
