I notice the countdown isn’t set up quite right – you have some of the mystery background in there. The “day” item should be the first thing that happens after the hunters get involved rather than the background to the mystery.
The other thing is that you have set it up with a specific finale in mind. That’s not bad in itself, but you need to prepare for what happens if the hunters avoid that trap, or else take a shortcut that prevents it ever happening. Alternatively, start the mystery with the hunters in the gala and have everything happen once the doors get locked (you can still include the other material via flashbacks, like the way many Supernatural episodes have a teaser with Sam & Dean in big trouble and then cut to “24 hours earlier…”)
