Does it work for the Doomed play book to have your room and your nemesis be the same, or does it cause problems?

  1. On one hand, your nemesis definitely can be a lesser element of your doom, and I highly recommend it. That being said, defeating your nemesis isn’t necessarily the same as defeating your doom. One is a plot point that comes into play as often as your MC likes, as you struggle to defeat your nemesis before your inevitable doom takes you. The other is a climactic, single-use, playbook-changing or character-killing moment as you try to avert the unstoppable death before you. I can think of several ways that you could have the two be the same thing, but it locks your nemesis encounters to a fairly strict structure, which might result in your nemesis getting less screen-time than they might

    see otherwise.
