I’m thinking of running a play by post of Legacy 2e, possibly with the Generation Ship or Worldfall setting. Anyone got any tips/advice, and views on whether either of the settings has any benefit/drawback in PBP? Also, how many players would be realistic for Legacy as a PBP?

  1. I usually go for 4 people… even if you have one person dropping off the game you can still run the game without. Also, it is a recent lesson learned: start with Family moves, instead of a Character scene, which are much more dynamic and less suited for PBP.

  2. Douglas Mota Many thanks – I’m wondering if it would be viable to play with six… too many for normal play, but might work for PBP and give some redundancy for people dropping out? Or is that just too many?

  3. If you manage world building tightly it should be ok. Schedule a “posting window” and set rules to avoid a couple of players with more free time to outpost / outshine their colleagues.

Keep us posted on how it goes!
