HI, I’m starting a new game with some friends and one of them decided they wanted to play the flake so that they could use the contrary ability at every turn to gain xp. I want to let them play what they want without inhibiting them too much, but I’m not sure how deal with this. Does anyone have any ideas?

  1. Just make sure the other players are giving them LEGIT advice, as per the wording on the move.

    If they’re pulling metagamey crap:

“Hey, Bob! You should jump off that building!”

“I choose NOT to jump off the building! Gimme xp!”

    …shut that nonsense down.

  2. Lil Johnny Halfbreed not exactly.

But I wouldn’t have written the move for the Flake to get experience from doing the opposite of good advice if I didn’t expect people to do it!

  3. Michael Sands sorry, my joke failed due to my horrible mobile typing.

I think it’s a great move, and I was merely poking fun at folks that would seemingly try to turn it into some sort of metagaming silliness is all.

Just consider me an overzealous fan who’s just trying to get on your good side.
