A couple of quick questions that arose in our game last night:

– Is it possible for an NPC Faction to get Treaty from the players? If so, how can that later be used?

– Lend Aid’s description says: When your Family throws its weight behind another, roll +Treaty with them.

Does “with them” mean the Treaty they owe you, the Treaty you owe them, or the sum of both?

Thanks!

  1. – It is. I personally use it to justify some more narrative uses of Call in a Debt. Obviously the Family can always resist… if they Hold Together!

    – Yours on them.

  2. So, if the Merchants has 6 Treaty on the Tyrants (who owe them a lot from trading and due to causalities from Tyrants wars), the Merchants get +6 on the Lend Aid roll because… the Tyrants owe them? Should it not be the other way around? Am I reading this wrong? confused

  3. Daniel Echegoyen Ulleland Instead of looking at it between pass and fail think of it as being between succeed and share the consequence versus succeed and don’t share the consequences. So the more treaty you have on them the less chance you have to be affected by the bad stuff.
