So in my recent game, we came across a question that we can’t figure out from the rules. When we rolled Get the Job, I chose the option to gain [Gear], however we couldn’t figure out if that was one [Gear] per person or one [Gear] total for the entire party. So I was wondering if any of you know if we’re missing where it specifies this or have an option you’ve run/chosen in the past?

We’ve always played this as 1 gear for the party. I think that 1 gear per person would be too powerful.
Yeah we played it as 1 Gear for the party.
Considering that 1 player rolls for Get the Job, I would give them the Gear
Yup, 1 [gear] total. If a move ever says “gain [gear]” or “gain [intel]” it means one of them. If it means multiple, it would say “gain 2 [gear]” etc.
John Carroll Yeah, someone at the table raised the point of it being too powerful too, but given that the choice is potentially equal to 3 cred if you choose ‘the job pays well’, we weren’t really sure as that’s a super powerful option itself.
Hamish Cameron Ah okay, hadn’t realised that bit of terminology. It was partly the phrasing of ‘useful assets’ (pluralised) that made me unsure, but that’s good to know. Thanks.
Henry Wild right but the gear you get when you produce equipment might be worth that as well if fictionally grounded.
