I heard that there was a Dark Ages AW version being produced by Vincent. Whatever happened to it?

It’s on permanent hold. It didn’t do what we wanted in playtesting.
Alas 🙁
permanent hold, as in cancelled? Sad news indeed.
Other things may yet happen, but for now we are focused on AW2e and what’s currently clicking well, like Freebooting Venus and Playing Nature’s Year.
Well, Freebooting Venus just sounds awesome, so I’ll be looking forward to that!
Peter J currently besides Dungeon World there is City of Judas set in a fictional Middle East in the dark ages.
Pavel Berlin: my 8-game cycle of short seasonal games you can play with anyone, due to complete at the end of this month. In November I’ll collect all 8 games, essays about them and the season to which each correlates, maybe recipes or whatever, and put out a book in print. It might be kickstarted, and I intend to have fulfillment done by Dec. 20. It’s not really PbtA, so I haven’t been talking about it here.

Meguey Baker thanks for the info. I will check it out.
Sorry to hear this didn’t play out. I was interested in other fantasy versions of AW besides Dungeon World. I was specifically looking for something that plays closer to AW’s rules-as-written. City of Judas changed a bit too much for my tastes.
Peter J, I’d reccomend Sagas of the Icelanders.
