If someone could develop a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney hack for Apocalypse World, that would be awesome. Kthxbye

  1. Okay, I’m envisioning 4 stats, because hot probably isn’t necessary from the viewpoint of the game (it’s more about detective work than seduction), but I’m easy, so that leaves hard, cool, sharp, and weird.

I started thinking of playbooks and what characters were in the series, and it was tough, because there isn’t a lot of variation, but I came up with the following ideas for playbooks: defender (defense attorney), prosecutor, witness, criminal, medium, detective, and innocent. I want to leave out the judge because another idea I had involves the use of a clock, where the case is presented in terms of two clocks, guilt and innocence. Whichever one fills up first is the judge’s decision.

  2. Everyone plays a part, but perhaps the prosecutor/detective/defender/medium play a more proactive role, and the other characters play a less proactive ones by using flashbacks to manipulate the events of the case

  3. That will keep the time and location focus on the court room, while allowing players to narrate events that occurred with their characters, and thus the moves allow a sort of maneuvering that occurs in the past
