Just curious, did you guys prep your villains (the Fanboy and Top Dollar, respectively) before the session began or did you just come up with them on the fly?

For me, yep! I snapped up an index card and started brainstorming ideas, wound up deciding to go for something akin to the Toymaker, and then filled in the drive, moves, and conditions for him in advance. But often (especially at con games) I make it up on the fly, usually in a short break after everybody’s made their characters and introduced them.
For me, nope! I was so worried about all the other pieces of the game that I completely forgot! I did it wrong, had to wing it, and you should follow Brendan’s advice!
I’m not them, but for our game I prepped the villains and made adjustments to their moves and drives to account for our genre shift.
