Free RPG Day is coming , and my FLGS has asked if I would be interested in running something, and my first thought was of course WWWRPG.
Firstly, for Nathan, is beyond cool for you, and suggestions?
Secondly, for community, any suggestions?
And thirdly, for the community, anyone else doing this?
I’ll let you know after this weekend where I run a few sessions for a bunch of conventionees
Beyond cool indeed!
So, yeah, my first thought for this was to just grab the free beta version rules, print up a few copies, along with a copy of each of the basic Gimmicks, and have myself a few guideline notes for an episode, such as a “What to do with a (insert Gimmick) (insert Heel/Face)?” List, and a general schedule for the show (and I will actively admit to stealing the general flow for an episode from the big guys and make it all run like an episode of Main Event or NXT).
I also know my FLGS. It isn’t the biggest in terms of size or sales in the valley, but it is the friendliest to roleplayers in general, and, as of this morning (June 2nd), it is the only store in the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area to have even ordered Free RPG Day loots, although I do not see that remaining that way for long. As such, I expect people to show up for a few hours at the very least. I will want to run at least twice in a four off five hour period.
And, if I may assume, Nathan, could you possibly make up some flyers for your fine selection of products that I could showcase and or hand out while I’m making your game look great?
I plan to just use the Single Session Quickstart from the PlayAids pdf.
Nathan, is your stuff available for purchase on Indie Press Revolutions?
Yup!
