Thanks to some playtesters’ feedback (like Richard Sardinas and his group) and some great advice from John Harper (really, many thanks man!), I prepared a new layout for the playbooks for the City of Judas.

You can see below an example of the Barber playbook: a few little changes here and there, but the final result is definitely an improvement from the previous version.

If you’re running the game already, you can still use the ‘old’ ones; there are no mechanical changes. But these look much better!

I collected some questions that I received about the setting, with my answers, in this document:

If you’re going to playtest the game, please have a look.

I will keep updating the document, until I will release a new manual.

The txt contains also a few questions from me to the playtesting GM (and of course, any additional feedback beyond that is absolutely welcome!)

Up until version 0.0.7 the City Of Judas was a ‘draft’, more an alpha than a beta, but fully playable from what I’ve heard from the playtesters. Version 0.0.7 is still up on DTRPG and RpgNow as a Pay What You Want.

From version 0.0.8 – for which I am running a close playtest – the game turned into a full manual, ready for print in a 6×9″ format.

So far, it seems everybody that tried the game enjoyed it quite a bit, which makes me proud!

Hi everybody

Hi everybody

Hi everybody,

I’ve put together an AW hack about medieval mercenaries in a fantasy Jerusalem at the time of the crusades. I have a 300+ pages manual, with some setting, moves, playbooks, rules, and a lot of GM material, missions and fronts, monsters and adversaries and so on.

Before sharing it, though, I’d like it to go through some more proof-reading and hopefully more playtesting.

If you’re interested and you think you can read the book, give some suggestions or editing feedback, or if you want to playtest it, please let me know: contact me here on gplus or at davide.pignedoli at gmail dot com.

I will send you the link…
