I ran my 30th session of Gauntlet League Wrestling last Wednesday. It’s a story that has changed and grown over three seasons. This most recent started with a three session “road show” prologue before bringing the promotion back to Gauntlet City. This coming week will be the finale of 11 sessions, our big PPV the imaginatively named Throw Down 2018. It’s been an interesting ride with this being the longest continuous series I’ve run and the one with the most returning wrestlers, several there for nearly all the sessions.

I also got a Gauntleteer to do logo for the promotion which we’ve put on t-shirts. If you’re interested in WWW AP, I have the full playlist link below– the most recent stuff is 29 on the list.

It occurred to me tonight I’d really like a set of cards with the wrestling moves illustrations on them. Take the ones from the book, add more and give us a set of flash cards for inspiring descriptions, learning move names, and randomizing sequences for NPWs. I know we have the nice ref sheet, but lately I’ve been digging cards as a rpg tool. I just got my copy of Operators which uses cards for describing combat maneuvers and that got me thinking about this.

Question for Creatives–when you book a match for X Wrestler to win via a DQ, do you have the wrestler roll their finisher as normal? Are there any flourishes or changes you make for that kind of finish? I just realized it was a sitch that hadn’t yet come up for me.

I gather videos for all four sessions of GLW from GauntletCon. Our World Wide Wrestling events filled 19 seats. We had a great roster with returning favorites, established talent, and hot new recruits. GM Bleakwood’s cost-cutting hunt for cheap wrestlers brought in a host of talent.
