When you take a bite of someones flesh… 

What happens? It should either give you some power over them or make you become a bit more like them. The first would be a string but that is not as interesting. Not sure on how to do the second effect. 

What Skin is best for dealing with problems of overweight or anorexia?

I think a (flesh hunger) Ghoul works pretty well for anorexia since eating for them is monstrous and you want to avoid that at all cost. The fight against the hunger would be a big part of that character with monstrous stuff happening when they give in to it. 

But being a social outcast because of percived body issues? I know there are some fan made “Grotesque” type playbooks hanging out there but what else? 

You could do it with the Ghoul too i think but it would turn into just a Zombie thing pretty fast and not deal with the social stuff so much. Any suggestions? 

Of course you could play every character as overweight and self conscious about it (and a very big Choosen is a cool image) but what skin can help you focus on that?

Here is how i would run my CampMonsterhearts One-Shot: 

Playbooks allowed: 

All the standard playbooks but the Choosen.

If people are more experienced they can play a Selkie or Serpentine (then their family runs the camp)

All the characters are at a Summercamp. Divide them up into 2-3 cabins where they are staying. Each cabin has 6 people staying in it. (if you have more then 3 players make it 3 cabins with 4 people staying) Keep the ammount of NPCs about the same as there are characters. 

Define who is sleeping where (Girls and Boys are sepperated) and name 2 more teenagers that are staying in other cabins. 

Ones everyone is named, start asking leading questions about them. A few things i thought off: 

To PC A: So NPCA stole your favourite bikini, how did you find this out?

To BC B: so what did you promise NPCA to steal the bikini? Why did you want it? 

Who did beat you at the race yesterday? How did you react when they totally rubbed it in your face? 

Who did you make out with 2 days ago? (let’s say it was NPCA)

Then ask another character how they felt NPCA! made out with them yesterday?

Kalm is the guy who can get you everything here, booze, weed, condoms, porn-magazines – what was the last thing he got for you?

PCB, you don’t have any phone reception around here, when was the last time you heard from your “girl-/boyfriend” back home? 

Who do you always try to impress at the beach/pool? (depending on if there is a Selkie) 

What hobby you have always gets made fun of? 

Why have you still not done anything against Christyna that bully-bitch?

Where do you sneak to when you want to mastrubate in private?

Some more general questions to establish characters maybe:

What is your favourite music

What is your favourite TV-show

Did you bring your Nintendo DS with you? 

Who do you miss most from back home?

Do you have a book with you? 

Totally ask about if they are sleeping on the upper or lower bunkbed and how it was decided. Did they beat someone up to get the upper one? 

The camp supervisors (or the 2 that are mostly on-camera) are a creepy man-woman twins. 

From there i would just start painting typical summer camp scenes. Probarbly starting with 1 cabin and the people there getting the wake-up call. (if there is sleeping around at that stage then there might be a moment here where a boy is at a girl cabin (or the girls in the cabin find 2 of the girls together in bed or something like that. Both can be interesting)

 Next scene, people from the other cabin going to dinner. Ask them if they have any duties they need to fulfill.

Introduce some big thing, like a competiotion or a party that night or something like that. Depending on the mood i feel at the table really

Depending on their plans, horrible monsterhearts shenanigans…

The big thing and what happens there. (someone for sure is DEAD!)

What do you think. 

The scenes are just a general structure i could use, i will leave a lot of things open for the players to decide.

You can be from whatever age. You have a handful of memories.

You might have a name. But you are in this house with these other guys.

ATTrIBuTES: str, con , wis, int , cha

Roll a d4 . Roll another d4. Subtract that one from the first roll. That is your attribute. (so -3 to +3) Add +1 to one of your choosing.

You have 1 Hit Die (d6) + extra hit dice equal

to your COn.

 roll all your hit dice and keep a

number equal to your level to determine your

hp. when you rest and consume a ration/

waterskin/wineskin, you may re-roll your

hp. if you are attended by a healer, roll an

extra hit die.

 Slay(+2 melee damage)

Hardy(+6 hp).

Backstab(attack from concealment

to do +3 damage)

 Lucky(once per day, turn

a miss into a partial success)

Reflexes(you

always go first and can react when suddenly

surprised)

Tinker(you can attempt to quickly

pick a lock, pick a pocket, or disarm a trap)

 Cure(you can attempt to neutralize

poisons, remove curses, or heal wounds with

a touch)

rOLLInG THE DICE

When you attempt something risky, sum 2d6

and add one of your attribute scores, based on

the action you’re taking. (the gm will tell you

some of the possible consequences before

you roll, so you can decide if it’s worth the risk

or if you want to revise your action.)

A total of 6 or less is a miss; things don’t go

well and the risk turns out badly. A total of

7-9 is a partial success; you do it, but there’s

some cost, compromise, retribution, harm, etc.

A total of 10 or more is a full success; you do

it without complications. and a total of 12 or

more is a critical success; you do it perfectly

to some extra benefit or advantage.

– You need expensive stuff to get your trick to work, spend 1 barter

– You get into trouble with one of your past concquest

– You totally look like a dork doing it 

When you have The Playbook change your sex move to this

When you have sex with someone roll+COOL 

On a 10+ you totally nailed them 

On a 7-9 they will come back later and put you into a uncofortable situation of your choosing
