How do folks handle the Team pool when the Team doesn’t have a leader per se? Not because there’s a dispute, just because it’s not how they roll. Seems a shame to penalize them because they’re going for an alternate young superhero style, more like Runaways than Teen Titans.

Started my first game of Masks yesterday, and there was much discussion about how changing someone’s Labels is not necessarily real fun for the player, as it risks deprotaginazation. It left us with a couple questions:

– when a move allows a PC to change another PC’s Labels, do they have to?

– a player can choose to reject the influence, but we’re wondering how that works in the end of session moves, since there’s no actual RP happening at that moment.

Don’t want to sound like a needy whiner, but is there an updated ETA on the hardcopy for us unwashed heathens who failed to get in on the Kickstarter? 😉

I have to say, I really like the Influence mechanic.

I have to say, I really like the Influence mechanic. In Monsterhearts, I struggled to have teachers and parents make a meaningful impact on the PCs. In Masks, the PCs can still flip off their mother, but the words may mechanically stick!

Finally got an ongoing game started with my regular group. And I have to say, while all through beta and running various one-shots of Masks, I was pretty sure this was going to be my all time favorite RPG. Now that I’m playing regularly, I can officially declare it. This game punches all my favorite buttons and I’m having such a blast with it. Incidentally, it’s one of the few games I’ve ever played where I like being a GM even more than being a PC.

Anyway, I just wanted Magpie Games to know that Masks is officially my favorite RPG ever, and I hope the rest of you are having as much fun playing it as I am!

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone.

Just got my rule book yesterday and I am getting a roll 20 group together to play.

But I have ran into a problem. I can’t seem to find the starting lables stat lines or influence points for each of the playbooks. The book keeps referring me to the playbook but the playbooks only give me the moves and a brief description. Is their actually a seperate book I needed to get? Or am I just blind and their is a page in the rule book that has them listed? (If so can I have the page number.)
