So, here is a sneak peek of the advancement Tonal Tracks (and the stages you can advance to). My idea is that by playing your character you’ll clear Tonal (gain XP), so you can get like 1 or 2 per session. Are the tracks too long?
I’m considering also that when you fail you also clear Tonal, like failing teaches you to be humble and you learn from your mistakes. But my concern is that players then just relly on failing.

So as part of the streamlining process for the next iteration of the game, I’m merging together the XP advancement and the Tonal advancement, to have only one advancement system. (Those who playtested the game know what I mean—or maybe not, that’s fine XD)

So, moving forward on the design and planning the other playbooks, I want to bring to the table for discussion the Murcielago playbook (The Bat).
My thoughts for the playbook is for they to be a bad-ass blind character (like Tough from Avatar, Zatoichi, Hundred Eyes).
I came to this ’cause the popular thinking is that bats are blind (I know they really aren’t) and the bat is an animal tied to the underworld in the pre-Columbian cultures, I was thinking for the playbook to be a blind character that can “see” the spiritual world. Also that being blind is a requisite for having the Murcielago as a totem animal spirit.
I also think that it would be interesting for us (players and MCs) that can see to have a character that relies on other senses, I believe the conversations and descriptions at the table could be enriched… we take sight soooo much for granted!
Now… I don’t want to be misinterpreted, and of course I don’t want to misrepresent blind people (I’m a handicaped person myself, so this is pretty important to me), that’s why I want to bring this to the table for discussion.
I wan to do a big shout-out to all my playtesters at #Metatopia2017 Thank you very much for your time and excitement!

One of the main things I found out is that I’m gonna need to communicate better Edgar Clement’s universe (i.e. the setting), it’s weird for some people that as players you hunt, kill and sell angels…in pieces. So I need to put that fluff in the front (before my idea was to put it at the end of the book as an Appendix).
The other thing I found out is that there may be too much stuff happening—ruleswise. And this is mainly because I’m trying to bring into the game the stuff that character’s in Edgar’s universe/stories do, this being an adaptation of existing media. But I think I can streamline the playbooks and rules to reduce the load, by focusing in what I want the characters to do.
Anyways, thanks a lot again to my playtesters. And thanks also to everyone in this group for your interest, I’ll be posting here the ideas and progression of this streamlining process.
Hey everyone, welcome! First big news I’m sharing is that I was selected for a #Metatopia sponsorship! I’m sharing this until now because I was waiting on my visa and wanted to be 100% sure I’m going before saying anything. AND I AM, this is happening! I still can’t believe it!
