I have a doubt in Legend of The Elements, the wuxia hack by Max Hervieux.

The move Speak Honorably involves anything regarding persuading others and the move Act Dishonorably involves the threat of violence and/or social consequences.

What if I want to persuade someone to do something that will have ill consequences for them, but I am not telling them? There is no threat involved, but I am trying to fool or deceive the other. Is that still under Speak ‘Honorably’ ??

Hi, I was listening to a podcast (I believe it was “Another Question”) and they mentioned a unpublished hack of AW called “Disney World” which sounded like a cross between Fallout’s Nuka World & Paranoia. You don’t play as Donald Duck or anything like that but as people in a theme park after an apocalypse. The playbooks were things like “Mascot” and “Imagineer” and “Walt”.

For obvious reasons it’s unpublished but I was wondering if there were copies floating around anywhere and if someone could share them, but any more info would be great!

It has been since the sun died. Now it’s an evil rip in the sky surrounded by a halo that poisons all it touches. But that’s not too often, because the clouds hang low and rarely part. So it’s always dark, and it’s always cold, and it’s always wet.

The dark robs you of knowledge and leaves fear. There are things out there, but light would make you a target. The cold numbs you from the outside in. A man may even welcome it as a form of respite. These men cannot be trusted. And everything is wet. Slick, slimy, fetid, source of mold, feeder of plants that rip and tear buildings over weeks, swarming with tiny sickening creatures. But who can survive without water?

Reading through the Monsterhearts 2 Backer preview, and really loving some of the design decisions Avery Alder has incorporated into the new edition. Her re-working of stats and stat increases is a great way to draw the player’s attention to what’s really important and remove some of the most boring choices players have to make, while making the books work for multi-season play in ways they didn’t do before. And her replacement for “Manipulate an NPC” intrigues me and I can’t wait to play with it.
