The first is quite simple:
When you travel in the wild and the MC tell you to do so, roll+sense. On 10+ you managed to find yourself in a good and defendable place and you are well alerted. on 7-9 it is only one of the two.
The second uses monsterheart strings:
The first time you enter in Xiago, the city of the dead, the Elder of Xiago gain a string on you
With the third I try to have more dynamic fights:
When you swashbuckling in the fight choose one:
You arrive in any position of the fight stage
You evade, parry and avoid the multiple attack of your enemies
You use a piece of the stage to obtain something otherwise not unreachable
You make someone fool of himself
Describe the athletic feat that let you to achieve this result and you did it.
Roll+edge
On 10+ you gain +1 forward and you can do another subsequent move
On 7-9 you can do a subsequent move but either you or one of your friends is in immediate danger, your choice
On 6- the MC can revert the move against you with an hard move

Quirks: never got out of the holding since he was a kid; emissary of an entity who has his home in the maelstrom; get along with the Satellites, people from another dimension who are stuck on earth.

Quirks: face always hidden under a bride veil, always; speaks with ghosts; can heal people; insane; lives in a lighthouse.
Joshua “Hammer” (gunlugger)
Quirks: wears a samurai armor; wield a huge hammer; exiled from the holding for murder; currently on the run; wants to kill Diamond Blues.
Diamond Blues (chopper)
Quirks: hot, seriousely; almost killed Hammer, twice; swap bodies with Carabas, once; don’t know shit about maelstrom, except it’s a place with angels having sex; chaotic attitude.
Carabas (operator)
Quirks: talks wierd; reads a lot of books; has adopted a kid after killing his parents.

A small update to my first unplaytested draft…I’ve changed the ratings to a “tri-stat” system (anyone familiar with Big Eyes, Small Mouth or Silver Age Sentinels will recognize it). Basically, I removed the Apocalypse Engine ratings and replaced them with three stats: Body, Mind, and Spirit. I tweaked all the Basic and Special moves to account for this, and made several small changes to the playbooks to play into this change. If your group is hankerin’ for some zombie apocalypse fun, please consider my hack and let me know what works and how I could make it better!
