I’m fleshing out the arcs of my #monsteroftheweek  series and it looks like the season will end with a full-fledged apocalypse. So I’m wondering – what if the hunters fail to stop it?

Anybody ever started an #apocalypseworld  campaign as a follow-up to another game?

I am actually a big fan of expanded Playbooks. Things like the Wurm are great. They give you more options to express a certain facet of a Playbook while still costing you something.

This is an Operator that deals in secrets and manipulates people arround him with his knowledge. Think seedy police informant or Wormtongue.

I am still unsure about Whispers in the Street it could be +secrets spend but i think it works fine like that. Maybe one more option for gaining secrets could help but i couldn’t think of any and this is okay enough.

How the hell did I never notice this before?

Mal = Hardholder or Operator, depending on how you look at it

Zoe = Gunlugger

Wash = Driver

Jayne = Battlebabe

River = Brainer

Simon = Angel

Kaylee = Savvyhead

Inara = Skinner

Book = Hocus

I’m pretty sure they all use characters moves throughout the series, too.

If i am running a AW one-shot next week these are the Playbooks i would make available for my player.

Don’t you wish the Moves playbooks included the advanced moves?

Don’t you wish the Moves playbooks included the advanced moves? Well, here you go. I tried to make these look exactly like the originals, except each of the basic moves includes a description for the Advanced version of the move underneath it. Cheers!

So I am going to visit England in late July of this year and I have a random little dream. I want to play an rpg in england, and I would prefer it to be a *world game. So, if anyone lives in south western england or southern wales (the areas I will be staying in for about a week at a time), and would enjoy hosting a Canadian tourist for a game session, I would be excited to try and make that work. It’s my first visit to the island and I can’t wait!
