Hi everybody

Hi everybody

Hi everybody,

I have finally found my dream configuration to play Undying online! Realtimeboard feat.Kumu

TOP-LEFT Some reference pics.

TOP RIGHT Kumu iFrame (clicking Play shows an overlay whit the interactive r-map, created and managed by the GM on kumu).

BOTTOM-LEFT London city map with character markers for hunting grounds (you can use characters first letter instead of numbers)

BOTTOM-RIGHT basic moves sheet (jpg or browsable pdf as needed)

CENTER boxes for secrete blood bets (white text on white background, everybody writes his bet, then GM changes text color to black)

I know it’s not cheat free but I don’t play with cheaters so I don’t care 🙂

When an r-map gets obsolete just export the pdf with kumu and import it as archive in RTB, so you can keep on kumu the active map.

RTB has text/voice/video chat as well.

Get the templates in Italian and English languages here:

01 – Make a kumu.io account (it’s free)

02 – Create a new project, set it public (you can edit, everyone can see)

03 – Do not select a template, import the .json blueprint file instead.

04 – DONE!

05 – Click on the green + icon > Add element* to add PCs, NPCs, Wolf’s Packs. Click on the green + icon > Add connection* to add Debts.

06 – Click on bottom-left menu ••• > Share / embed this map > Create embed / share link

07 – Copy the iframe code

08 – Make a http://realtimeboard.com account

09 – Click on Upload from backup, upload the .rtb file

10 – Open the new created board, unlock and delete the default kumu iframe (the grey box with play icon)

11 – Go to the left menu click on the + icon > Paste iFrame code, paste the iframe code you copied from kumu, resize / drag the iframe as needed, lock it in place.

12 – DONE!

Hello all!

Hello all!

Hello all! I have started a Patreon for a serialized roleplaying game called Uncanny Echo. It’s a stripped down, monthly pbta game. Each issue is a one shot that creates or incorporates a meta narrative around Uncanny Events and the echoes that follow.

Issue 0 is free and issue 1 is on my patreon now for 2$. 1$+ also gets you the podcast RSS feed that contains the actual play of our playtests, which are edited down into short episodes.

I don’t know if it was in this group or not, but I recall that recently someone posted a link of a PBTA game/hack based on a 1980s theme in a manner similar to Spirit of 77. Has anybody seen this?

Hello, I’m so proud to finally get to a point to talk about this.

Hello, I’m so proud to finally get to a point to talk about this.

For about the last year I’ve been working on a PbtA game, specifically a Monster Hearts hack for the slightly stylized high school world of Teen Dramas like Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and Riverdale. The project has finally hit it’s first stage of playtesting, and I’m very happy to now show it off.

So, here is Little Lies, a game of being catty and having secrets in High School:

Hi.

Hi.

Hi. I don’t have a ton of time to prep between games AND I’m not amazing at improvisation AND I’m not super into games that rely mostly on PVP. What PBTA or PBTA games would you recommend for this? The only one I can think of from my limited knowledge is Blades in the Dark, since it’s mostly the heist that players plan in the game so I’m doing improv but it’s very structured improve, then I just update some clocks.

1. Am I right about this:

2. What other PBTA games are like this.

I want to get into PbtA. What is the best game to start with that isn’t Apocalypse World?

AW just doesn’t call to me. Dungeon World neither.

Thanks!

*Edit:

Okay background: I am looking for a game to run for my group who has never played PbtA. One of the members of the group is interested in running a superhero game and I suggested Masks, but he wants to try a PbtA game to see if he likes it.

I own The Sprawl but it seems a little intimidating to jump into for a one-shot.

Any advice?

Hi Friends!

Survival Island is the best classic adventure games. You don’t remember how you got to this island, but now you’re stranded in the wild. Surviving here will be no simple task and you will try to survive there at any cost. Download this game now! and save your survival hero from Jungle giant.

Hi There.

Hi There.

Hi There.

I’m looking for a system to play Star Wars.

Currently first on my list is Impulse Drive. I played it and liked it. I know about Uncharted Worlds but i’ve never red it. Ther is also original SW system by FF Games.

Can you recommend any of these? Is Original SW system approachable for someone who is playing mostly PBTA systems? Maybe you have different idea

Thanks in advance

My GMing goal for the year is to get more effective at prep and execution using the “Prep Situations, not Plot”…

My GMing goal for the year is to get more effective at prep and execution using the “Prep Situations, not Plot” approach. Assuming I’m not running a PVP game, what published GM materials have the best advice / processes for implementing this? Is there a specific PBTA or Fate or other game product that you can recommend? I’m less looking for general how to be a good GM advice, and more specifically how to prep situations (e.g., Fronts, Clocks, Motivated Antagonists), and then turn that into a bunch of satisfying scenes across one or more sessions.
