So in the extended games of SotI that I’ve played the bonds have tended to pile up on some NPCs, not seeing much use.

Has anyone developed or hacked in any bond/string moves to SotI that might be fun to try?  I’m thinking even of some uses that might cost two bonds to effect.

Hey everyone, has anyone run a Saga game that has used any monsters?

Hey everyone, has anyone run a Saga game that has used any monsters? The recent volcanic activity in Iceland has my group itching to play a one shot with the volcano as part of the end of the world kind of Saga. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I’ve been teasing this for a while, and here’s a rather tardy announcement: Sagas has been reprinted and will be available in print format again. It’s not a huge deal: it’s not a second edition or revision, just a straight up reprint, because there has been a lot of interest in getting printed copies after I ran out.

The second part of the announcement is that IPR will be taking over the shipping and handling part of the deal, taking a significant chunk of work off my hands. So if you want a deadtree copy of Sagas, look to the IPR store in the coming weeks, I’ll post and update when it goes live. Or (if the mail delivery service doesn’t screw up and the books get to the US in time), you should also be able to pick up a copy at the IPR booth at GenCon in 10 days or so.

Was this in the beta version / discussed on the forum as an option?

If it’s not still there, how do people find moving characters from one role to another over the course of the game – is there anyway for a character to ‘settle down’?

Thanks

I’ve run Sagas a couple of times and enjoyed it tremendously on each occasion.

I’ve run Sagas a couple of times and enjoyed it tremendously on each occasion. But one thing that causes me to get very confused is the interlocking workings of the Man’s various moves, got-wood-for-sheep et al. It tends to get very fiddly, and while some moves are session specific, other moves are season specific. I end up getting very lost.

Does anyone else find this, and is there any guidance online I could read?
