Hello everyone, I got few questions about cyberware.

1) If you already have a neural interface (let’s say data storage), do you need to go under the knife to install another module (like remote control) ?

2) Why cybercoms are not a neural interface module ? Same question for tactical compuer and skillwires

3) Can you connect to the matrix with cybercoms like a smartphone ? Or is it just like a radio transmission ?

4) Jack in suggest you have to plug yourself into the system physically , but remote control suggest wifi exist. Is there two kind of networks like in these days (wireless and wired) ? In this case, do wireless more oftenly used and wired is used in very secured areas ?

I’ve asked this else where but I’m having trouble figuring how cred works on the first mission of The Sprawl.

I have been doing some “upstream research” by loaning Apocalypse World from my local library. I knew the game was in the library and I decided to loan it because Hamish mentioned in another post about experience in that game. It really seems like it is good idea to read the Apocalypse World (I have not yet read it completely) if you are new to PbtA games like me.

This really helped me understand how Threat Clocks work by simply seeing couple of examples of those clocks. So, to make The Sprawl even more stand alone product I would suggest to add some visual examples of Threat clocks for example, if possible.

I’ve got a question about Corporate Clocks, specifically filling them out.

I’ve got a question about Corporate Clocks, specifically filling them out. I understand the general idea of them becoming much more serious at certain breakpoints, but I’m just at a loss at what sorts of things should go there. This is definitely a weak point for me in PbtA games where without something definite it’s hard for me to just jump in.

The Kurosawa Extraction legwork and mission clocks were great for cementing those mechanics for me, just doesn’t seem to be anything similar for corporate clocks. This is especially important to me because in the game I’m about to run the players decided to have a clock start at 00:00 so it ought to be interesting.

Long and short, anyone have example Corporate Clocks they’ve written up?

[2..1.. Two smiling plastic presenters..]

“We interrupt this broadcast to bring you breaking news from Kendale Lakes!”

[Shakey cam on two confused, uniformed guards, weapons pointed at the viewer..]

“This is Jess McCormick live and on the air from JMRL’s top-secret feline research facility where I’ve just been shot by this JMRL security officer!”

Their second mistake was to imagine they could improve it.

Their third mistake was to believe what they were experimenting on were still cats.

Their last mistake was not quite closing the cage door.

I’m new to the game and the community so I might have missed this in the book or on the + page but I have a question.

I’m looking to have power armour in my game so I’m trying to figure out the best way to handle it. Right now the most obvious to me is using drones with a profile but I’m wondering if I’m missing a better way.
