A couple of questions about Let It Out 2.0:

What constitutes “letting out the power within” for you? Does any use of supernatural abilities not covered by Archetype moves suffice (e.g. a Vampire using his supernatural senses to adjust his eyes to seeing by moonlight)? Does it take a display of more power than is required to fuel archetype moves? Somethig in between?

How do Mortals let out the power within them?

We’ve unlocked 3 stretch goals in under 48 hours, all I can say is “WOW!” to that. Our latest update is also out, including the sneak peek at the three newest stretch goals.

At $28,000, Marissa Kelly will create the fourth member of Mortality, The Scholar. A mortal with just enough knowledge and tricks to keep themselves alive. They also have a slew of artifacts and items to draw upon and a unique relationship to Debts.

At $32,500, Mark Richardson joins the team to produced custom maps for our New York City Guide and at $35,000, Mark will create maps for ALL out city guides. Each map will appear in our Dark Streets city guide compendium and be available online as an oversized PDF.

Thank you to everyone for their continued support, both financially and by talking about the project on social media. Our success is all because of those efforts.

Evening

Evening

Evening,

Just finished my one shot and it was great. They loved it but because we ran out of time we couldn’t finish it up. Doing a one shot with this game was harder than I thought, I’m not gonna lie, but I still did it anyway.

Part 1

Backstory: I had 4 players; a Dragon, an Immortal, a King and a Wolf. They worked for a clandestine group employed by the government to deal with supernatural cases. The government doesn’t officially acknowledge these supernatural events but has their hands in their dealings.

The players were tasked to venture to this small rural town in the United States to investigate a set of child disappearances. The children would mostly come back after weeks or months at a time. The most recent child said he venture to a church but does not remember what happened after that. Also, in his dreams he would see this dark shadowy demon with deep red eyes talking to him.

Part 2

Game: The players investigated the church at night, three from the front and one from the back. The three (Dragon, Wolf, King) opened the front door only to find out that it was all pitch black. The one going through the back (Immortal) went in through the back into a room that appeared to be kept tidy and neat; unlike the actual church.

The first group stepped inside the church and passed the doorway when all the lights inside the church (torches on the walls) lit up. The Wolf decided to separate and head forward through the side. He encountered the demon first and learned that the demon wanted them to be gone. The other two kept walking down the middle aisle toward the altar. At the altar was an inverted cross. which they walked towards. When they got there all the torches were blown out and the candles in the altar were lit. The red-eyed demon appeared before them and told them that to look into the child disappearances they should talk to the sheriff.

On the other hand, the Immortal went in through the back of the church inspecting a small cabin like room he had entered into. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so he kept going forward through another door into a small hallway. He passed the hallway, which led into the big open space of the church where the altar is. At this point he came in to find out that the altar was not lit and only the Wolf was there. While they talked with each other the red-eyed demon appeared before them. He told them that his brother had trapped him inside the church so he could not interfere with his plans. When they finished the conversation, the church went quiet again and both parties appeared next to each other.

After the conversation they went to the police station to talk to the sheriff (they deduced that he was the brother of the demon). This was where we stopped because we didn’t have time to continue the session (had gone for about 4 hours).

Part 3

If we had continued, they would have fought the sheriff and after defeating him they would’ve learned that the he was stealing the town children’s innocence to feed his hunger. Also, as a shocker the townspeople would’ve sided with the sheriff because they had been worshipers of him for generations; and they were, willingly, giving their children to the demon, not the other way around.

End

What do you guys think?
