We’re 56 hours away from the end of the Urban Shadows Kickstarter and we’re going out in a blaze of GLORY!

We’ve reached our 10th stretch goal today ($22,000), unshackling The Vessel archetype, the fourth in the family of Wild. A soul bound to a body not it’s own and driven by it’s Duties. Spooooky!

We also announce our next two stretch goals:

London, England City Guide ($26,000) by Paula and Steve Dempsey

Bangalore, India City Guide ($28,000) by Ajit George.

These international city guides are beyond excited and our print copy of the city guides (aka Dark Streets $24,000) is nearly achieved (less than $500 away).

I have a question about the new advancement rules. It assumes there is a relatively equal representation of factions in games which will not always be the case. The campaign I just finished was very heavy in wild and mortal, had a little night, and not much power. We were using the old advancement rules, so it wasn’t an issue. What is the recommendation for this kind of game

I have a question, I want to back the project, I want to get 2 copies of the softcover book with international shipping, that would be 60$, should I choose the 25$ level with a 60$ pledge and add some kind of message?

Basic moves question, not related to the 2.0 update:

Vampire Vlad’s door is kicked in by an NPC monster hunter and the MC tells Vlad’s player the hunter is about to fire his shotgun at Vlad.

Vlad dives to cover to avoid being hit.

Which move does he use? Escape or Keep Your Cool?

Looking to the future

How do you see new materials being handled. By this I mean, if I have an idea for something like a set of moves that could be an archetype, but might be handled better to something akin to a Compendium Class from DW is there a preferred method or precedent that can be set

I see the observe a person and place moves were combined?

What happens if I am in the center of a city and just want to observe the area for potential threats? It no longer works as “Figure someone out” and it is not “investigate a Place of Power” since it is not a place of power. What do my players then do? I think this can be easily solved by saying “Figure someone/something out”.

Also, I am loving the new debt move and the better treatment of factions.

The Advance Corruption option for of Let It Out seems either troublesome or just not worded properly…Are there going to be a set list of manifestations to choose from or is it meant to imply that I can mark a Corruption and take a permanent +1 forward?

Is it me or does “mislead, distract or trick” and “persuade an npc” overlap quite a bit?

Also, so I am assuming we are using highlighted stats for factions …. which means that no longer gives XP?

Last, why remove the advanced versions from underneath the basic moves? If I want to look at quick glance of it’s attached move …. i have to go to a different page.

The naming of the Unleash and Let It Out moves is a little confusing to me.

The naming of the Unleash and Let It Out moves is a little confusing to me. I keep mistaking one for the other when thinking about the game. “Unleash the power within you” makes as much or even more sense to me than “unleash an attack”. Or maybe it’s just me being a non-native speaker.

To me, renaming Unleash into something more clearly referring to an attack would be helpful. Like, “Unleash An Attack”. ^^

I’m just gonna put this here for people who want EXTRA COOL STUFF!!!
