I’ve just watched the first episode of TIGER MASK W, the new wrestling-themed anime.

It’s fascinating to watch a story about pro wrestling in this day and age that refuses to break “kayfabe”, while at the same time featuring cameos from actual real wrestlers, like “Rainmaker” Okada.

Makes me wonder why we don’t have more wrestling themed fiction that acknowledges the end of kayfabe, and tell more stories about the drama and politics of backstage combined with the action of the in-ring angles.

If you missed the International Incident Kickstarter, I’ve updated my store with all the leftover goodies (shirts, Move Decks, etc) They were basically all cheaper to get during the Kickstarter (so thanks to all the backers!), but available now at retail rates.

The actual International Incident book is still in preorder because the preorders to date managed to snap up all the overage I printed (!!!), and I had to place another print order already. I’m not turning that over to normal sales until I have that stock in hand (should be in ~2 weeks), but preorders ship in order they’re placed so if you want it soonest, order soonest.

All the digital stuff is up now in the usual channels, however. If you want the PDF or any of the now-public PWYW titles (Season 2 and The Road), those are up on my site and at DriveThruRPG.

When Eddie Guerrero was still around, I remember seeing a few of his matches here and there, and I remember enjoying his “Mamacita” period with Chyna, but I suspect that I missed out on most of his really great stuff — like when he finally won the belt from Brock Lesnar, as I’d stopped watching wrestling at that time, turned off by the Katie Vick debacle.

So if I wanted to go back and watch some Greatest Hits matches and/or promos that featured Eddie, be it in WWE or WCW, what would folks suggest I go looking for?
