Whenever you would lose Audience, choose: lose the Audience and Creative books you to win your next match to get them back on your side; or lose all your Momentum instead of losing the Audience. If you have no Momentum you must choose the first option
Do others count Audience resets as triggering this move? Just want to know others thoughts.
So I ran my first session of World Wide Wrestling RPG.
So I ran my first session of World Wide Wrestling RPG. A great time was had by all, but the players did bring something to my attention. One the players was playing Heel who was the announcer for a match between an Anti-Hero Babyface and a Monster Heel. The whole time he was announcing he was building up the other Heel. Then at a point he asked me through a private message (we were playing on Discord) “Can I make a run-in?” to which I responded “I don’t see why not.”
So he did the run-in rolled great a 10+, but there was one problem. He didn’t have a choice on the run-in move that represented what he wanted to do. He wanted to pull a screw-job so the other Heel would win. The problem is the only option on the list that changes the booking of the match. Is one where the person who gets attacked wins by disqualification. We went with it that way for now. But I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how to house-rule run-ins so Heels could pull screw-jobs. I remember someone posting something here about house-ruling run-ins but I’ve yet to find it again. Any help would be appreciated.

Getting ready to host my first game of WWWRPG. One question I have is how many matches is reasonable to have on the card? I have four wrestlers/players and I am thinking to have them compete against each other in two singles matches, and maybe a tag team as well. How many additional NPW matches should I add to the card?

NJPW is coming to me. (I live ~30 minutes from the Ocean Center.)

I’m gearing up to run my first session of World Wide Wrestling on Saturday. I’ve got at least three or four potential players. All of whom are fans of wrestling. Only one of them has any experience with roleplaying however. And that’s restricted primarily to D&D. I’m going to run them through the Quickstart Scenario. So that helps a little, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice. On teaching the game to people who’ve either never role-played before or only have a background in D&D. Any advice would be appreciated.

I’ve watched a few actual plays, and am a lifetime wrestling fan. It seems like there is a few ongoing promotions with proper vignettes and stuff going on here and that sounds incredible to me. Hey friends – it’s not a wrestling thing (sorry) but in case you aren’t in any of my other announcement zones, I’m running a Kickstarter for a new game Imp of the Perverse! It’s a psychological horror game inspired by the work of Edgar Allan Poe, and you can read all about it on the campaign page.
Structurally it actually takes a lot of what I learned from how WWWRPG works and uses a similar tempo of short chunks of play (a “Chapter” in this case) and then linking them together into long-term play with a lot of opportunity for players to drop in and out. Everything builds on the last thing and without the wrestling I wouldn’t have been able to get this game to where it is, so even if it’s not your thing, thanks for that!
