I’m trying to reach out to more people. I’m trying to collect more RPG blogs before Google+ shuts down in a few months. Who knows, perhaps the blogosphere will get stronger. If you have a blog focused on Powered of the Apocalypse games, or a category on your blog for these games, and you’d like to get more eyes on your material and keep the blogs alive, please let me know in the comments or via mail (kensanata@gmail.com).

Blogosphere Power Engage!

If you have a RPG blog, either for the OSR or for Indie games, please submit your blog by leaving a comment. These are the two Planets I run right now:

https://campaignwiki.org/indie/

A Planet is a website which collects posts from member blogs and display them on a single page. Thus, these two pages are ideal for people looking for new blogs to follow, people who aren’t subscribed to 200 blogs or more in their feed reader, people who who are curious. And it’s a low cost way to get your blog in front of more eyes.

Looking forward to run the game for the first time in one hour and thirteen minutes.

Looking forward to run the game for the first time in one hour and thirteen minutes. I’m nervous. I’ll report later. 🙂

This was announced a few days ago in its own community and I didn’t see an announcement here. The Sagas are about people living up north, independent farmers or slaves, perhaps raiding in summer but mostly concerned about men and women and the consequences of hurt pride, unchecked ambition, misunderstandings and envy leading to violence and strife. The thing that attracted me to the play books was that the moves all push the players into the roles we know from the sagas: wise women, shield maidens, slaves, landowners, chieftains, outcasts… it’s all there.

Sagas is now available for sale! You can get it in the standard Print+PDF and PDF-only deals.

To celebrate this occasion, Pedro Ziviani’s Saga-inspired Fiasco Playbook is getting released to the general public as well. You can download it here: http://goo.gl/cDwjI9

(Take note: The backers’ rewards are in the process of fulfilment and will take precedence. If you’re a new customer and wish to buy the physical book please allow for delays while the crowdfunding rewards/reprints get sorted out.)

I have been picked to run a session of Sagas of the Icelanders next Monday. Any particular saga you want to recommend for me to read in order to inspire my game? I have read Njal’s saga many years ago and I have the Penguin Classics edition of The Sagas of Icelanders right here. Just start at the beginning, with Egil’s?
