Several years ago I made my first Monsterhearts Skin: The Oni. The red-skinned demon/ogre from Japanese mythology dovetailed nicely with the teenage issue of bullying, and I thought the Skin was pretty well received.
With the upcoming release of Monsterhearts 2e I’m looking to revise The Oni (and my other Japanese mythology-themed Skins, The Kitsune and The Tengu). If anyone has any feedback to share from either playing as or with The Oni Skin, it would be greatly appreciated.

How often do the police get involved in your game’s fiction?
How often do the police get involved in your game’s fiction?
I’m just curious as to how often the police show up or how heavily they get involved in other people’s games. Cops showing up to break up a loud party forcing everyone to scatter is something I’m sure happens pretty often. But what about other things? Murders, kidnappings, car theft, etc. Do the cops get involved in your games?

The changes would mainly be cosmetic, I think, but there would only be a single corp; Genom. The corp clocks would simply be the different divisions of Genom, since they all seemed to have some level of autonomy.
So… Anyone know if there’s been any more chatter about a new/revised edition? 🙂

After the first episode of our second season, I came to the conclusion that my Mortal is no longer interested in her…
After the first episode of our second season, I came to the conclusion that my Mortal is no longer interested in her current (and first) lover. He seems like a tool now and doesn’t seem even the slightest bit interested in her. She (and I) don’t know what she ever saw in him to begin with. Ugh.
My Mortal’s new lover is her younger half-vampire sister (an NPC). It’s obviously not a romantic love (I’m not going for incest here), but a familial one. She (and I) realized that little sis is the most important person in her life, the one she cares the most about. And the one who is going to need the most protecting.
As a player this provides all kinds of drama as there have already been numerous opportunities to ignore how little sister treats my character and to ignore blatant problems with her behavior. This NPC seems like she will be the biggest source of drama for my Mortal to feed off of.
So, do you have any examples of strange lovers from any Mortals in your games?
