Spent the day toying with a Star Trek skin for Apocalype World. Has such a thing been done before?

Thank you, I’ll have a look!
I can see the playbooks now: the Captain, the Vulcan, the Doctor, the Helmsman, the Engineer, the Redshirt
I started working on a “space adventure” hack/re-skin of something in-between AW and Dungeon World:
http://whenyouflyaspaceship.blogspot.com/
Redshirt move
Away Team: You show the rest of the crew the inherent dangers of something new (planet, alien race, person). Roll +Crew. On a 10+, you die and choose 2. On a 7-9, you die and choose 1. On a 6-, you die and the GM makes as hard a move as he likes against the rest of the crew.
– Crew takes +1 forward to determine the nature of the danger.
– Nobody else from the crew is affected by the danger (yet)
– There’s another security officer on the scene for you to play
Redshirt move
He’s Dead Jim: when you die, change your Name and Look and nothing else.
In other words, you keep playing the Redshirt until you choose to discard them.
Craig Hatler it looks like we’re going in a similar direction, but I’m looking more to emulate AW than DW.
Jeff Johnston I love that Redshirt move. I may combine that last choice with Patrick Henry Downs’s move. I love the idea of sacrificing yourself to explore.
A Star Trek skin is what’s lead me into a full on space adventure hack. I have a playbook in place for Kirks (Trek) as well as Adamas (BSG) called The Officer. Mechanically very similar to the Chopper in all honesty — you’re a sapient with people to command and system of discipline. In this case, you also have a higher body to supply you and make demands.
Alfred Rudzki I was thinking the same thing.
+Chuck Durfee yeah it just makes sense doesn’t it? Would you like to see what I have, or want to compare notes afterwards? I don’t want to corrupt any thoughts you have! 🙂
Chuck Durfee , I’ve got some preliminary notes on the blog I linked to. I’m willing to keep my source options open for the hack/re-skin.
Alfred Rudzki I’d love to see what you have. Thank you also, Craig Hatler, for your offer.
I’ve posted what I have come up with thus far on http://neontapir.wikidot.com/strange-new-world. Being a Wiki, feel free to play along at home.
