Ok, so I’m at that point where I want to get feedback and, if I’m lucky, some outside playtesting done on this game that I’ve been working on.  My aim is to create a *World game that is to Bunnies and Burrows what Dungeon World is to Dungeons and Dragons.

Lapins & Lairs

Lapins & Lairs is a game about intelligent rabbits trying to make the best of a world filled with hazards, predators and, worst of all, other rabbits.  While the rabbits in your games will solve some of their problems and discover things they never thought to try before, they are still bound by their basic physiology and nature.

The playtest version, linked below, is all prettied up and ready to go.

Questions, comments, and curse words are all welcome forms of feedback.

  1. When you do something unheard of, say the trigger for the move you would write and the stat you would roll and then make the roll. On a hit, work with the MC to write the move – the move is now part of the game and your roll stands. On a miss, it’s not something rabbits can ever do.

    WOW!

  2. Dennis Sustaire auctioned of a bunch of his stuff recently, including his original campaign notes and all kinds of B&B ephemera, and it went for north of $200.00 – good for him, but man did I want those early notes.

  3. I would have chipped in money so that Jason Morningstar could have original B&B material. You should start a “research materials” fundraising drive next time!
