What verb should I have to use if I want to spot a clue or comb an area with a speedster? I’d go for an Investigate but sticking to the definition, it’s not purely a matter of reasoning or intellectual task. So, where do Perception actions fit?

  1. Definitely Investigate, yes. Explanations and examples will help with this but yeah, we plan on clarifying all the definitions. Remember, you’re not rolling the dice anytime you do something either though, just when moves are triggered.

  2. Yeah, well not necessarily specific circumstances right. Anytime any move is triggered you’d roll – so for Defy Danger anytime you act despite an imminent threat or when a danger befalls you. Extrapolate whenever you study a situation or consult your knowledge about something. (Extrapolate is the process of getting tinkered with, it’s a bit more finicky than I’d like right now). You’ve got the idea though!

  3. If more than one move is triggered by a situation or player actions, break it down. Consider which move needs resolving first, and go with that. That will then inform how the players wish to continue.
