This is where it really started to heat up. I threw in this strange book back in chapter two [https://barding.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log/chapter-two]. I didn’t say anything more about it, and for a long time it just sat there. It took several sessions before they found someone who could translate it, and they started to realize that one of those Irish monks had been secretly working on a Latin translation of the Gospel of Thomas. From here, the faith of the Red Christ starts to spread across Iceland, with Gnostic teachings entwined with Norse paganism to create this sort of pseudo-Nietzschean religion, and launching us well into alternative history.
