This is really a question for Mark Diaz Truman, as Magpie Games is the head of publishing and release.
Robert Ruthven – I don’t think we have any plans to make any of the content backer exclusive. Backers are going to get first looks at things, but we’d like to make all the awesome work our contributors are doing available to all. 😀
Awesome, just thought I’d ask since I know other AW-based projects have had backer-exclusive playbooks before.
I’ve always wondered about the backer exclusive playbooks. I ca see why it might be nice bragging rights for the backers, but it just means for all practical purposes the playbooks won’t come into play if the gm wasn’t a backer, or that they get shared around anyway.
The archetypes would find there way into everyone’s hands eventually. 😉 That was my experience with Apoc World.
Mine too, with Monsterhearts. I just found it odd that I had to go to the darker sections of the web to find the pdfs.
Yeah, I guess. I eventually got hold of all the LE playbooks for MotW, and Vincent did release the AW LEs for purchase after a while.
